2010 CBNNV Educational Scholarship Winners

Jun 02, 2010
The Catholic Business Network of Northern Virginia (CBNNV) is pleased to announce the Catholic Business Network of Northern Virginia Educational Scholarship in support of students attending Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Arlington.

Funds contributed to the CBNNV Education Endowment Fund support four annual $1,000 high school tuition scholarships for students' education within the Diocese of Arlington Catholic Schools.

Scholarship Awards are based on:
• Scholastic Achievement (GPA 3.0 of better)
• Community Service
• Leadership

Eligibility:
• Any freshman, sophomore, or junior attending one of the four Diocesan high Schools.

The Office of Catholic Schools, in conjunction with the CBNNV, selects a scholarship recipient from each of the Diocesan high schools. Scholarship winners are announced at the annual Catholic Schools/Business Partnerships Awards Banquet each spring. Application forms are available at the student's school.

We are pleased to present to you, in the attached pages, the essays of the 2010 four high school winners. The judges were greatly impressed with all the applicants - their scholastic achievements, their leadership, and their community service. Our schools have every reason to be proud.

Congratulations to our 2010 winners:
• Diana Amalfitano, Bishop Ireton High School;
• Michelle Tansey, Bishop O'Connell High School;
• Heather Miller, John Paul the Great Catholic High School; and
• Peter Hart, Paul VI Catholic High School.
